Jennifer Givens

Consulting Principal

Jen Givens is a Consulting Principal at C3 Nonprofit Consulting Group. She brings more than 15 years of experience advising nonprofit, corporate, and public-sector organizations on compensation and total rewards strategies.

In her role at C3, Jen partners with nonprofit boards, senior leaders, and HR teams to develop programs that are fair, competitive, and rooted in each organization’s mission, values, and goals. She leverages evidence-based insights to guide strategic conversations and help organizations tackle complex challenges and navigate an evolving compensation landscape with clarity and confidence.

Jen’s experience includes:

  • Designing executive and broad-based compensation programs, including market benchmarking, salary structure development, and incentive plan design.
  • Advising boards and leadership on compensation philosophy and governance practices that align with mission and financial sustainability.
  • Conducting internal pay equity analyses and preparing reasonableness assessments for board and regulatory review.
  • Partnering with clients to address compensation compliance topics and apply practical, mission-aligned best practices based on FLSA, IRS, and other regulatory guidance.
  • Leading and mentoring teams of consultants to ensure high-quality client service and strategic delivery.
  • Translating complex compensation data into clear and actionable insights that support strategic talent decisions and foster organizational trust.

Prior to joining C3, Jen served as a Managing Director within a national consulting practice where she led a team of consultants and oversaw a wide range of compensation engagements across sectors for clients of all sizes. Earlier in her career, she held internal compensation roles within the banking and utility industries. Here, she gained deep experience in the design and administration of HR and total rewards programs.

Jen holds a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), a designation that reflects her expertise in integrating compensation with business strategy, regulatory compliance, and effective communication.
