Principal

Casey Martinez is a Principal at C3 Nonprofit Consulting Group. He leverages over 20 years of experience in human resources management and compensation consulting and works closely with nonprofit organizations to design compelling total rewards strategies, advise on best practices in governance, and enhance e workplace equity.

Casey’s experience includes:

  • Partnering with boards and executive leadership in the development, implementation and oversight of total rewards programs that help to attract, motivate, and retain talent across all levels of the organization.
  • Designing compensation strategies and philosophies for boards, executives, and staff – including salary, incentives, and benefits programs that support an organization’s strategic objectives while also advancing its mission, vision and values.
  • Leading a team of experienced consultants to help mission-driven organizations navigate key people, cultural, and operational issues.
  • Building more equitable workplace strategies through greater pay transparency, living wage programs, pay equity assessments and more.
  • Providing clients with market intelligence and insight into emerging trends in talent management and other people practices.
  • Educating the board on best practices in governance to help mitigate risk and ensure compliance.

Casey’s experience in compensation consulting prior to joining C3 Nonprofit Consulting Group is extensive. He previously led the executive compensation functions for both Prudential Financial and NRG Energy. He also served as a subject matter expert in corporate governance for a large institutional investment firm based in Los Angeles.

Casey earned his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles – Anderson School of Management.
